MISERY SPEAKS, GRANTIG Sign With DRAKKAR RECORDS

October 1, 2007

Drakkar Records (LORDI, NIGHTWISH, ENSIFERUM, THE SORROW) has announced the signing of two young, promising metal acts from Germany: MISERY SPEAKS and GRANTIG:

"We continue to focus on young talents,"comments label manager Marius Kopec. "Of course, classic artist development has become increasingly difficult. On the other hand, only by supporting new bands does a label stand a chance of hitting the jackpot. To us, it's as important as ever that our bands bring along a solid mix of quality and originality."

He adds, "We've been extremely successful with our new signings, ENSIFERUM and THE SORROW, this year, and we still believe that metal fans are the most faithful. There is clearly a new generation of metal fans emerging who go for discovering their very own heroes, alongside the established acts, and we hope that we have hit the nerve of the times with our young signings."

GRANTIG (MySpace) from Munich are occasionally reminiscent of a young and remarkable German-language version of cult act PANTERA. "A certainly unique sound, which we will push forward together with the Hellfest agency, is currently being created in Munich under the direction of Jakob Bernhart (Emil Bulls, among others)," says Kopec. Meanwhle, "the melodic death metal act MISERY SPEAKS [web site] is another strong addition to our roster," adds Kopec. "Together with metal legend Dan Swanö (mix and mastering),they’ve recorded an awesomely savage second album at the Rape Of Harmonies studios and are set to leave their mark on the scene."

MISERY SPEAKS' new album, "Catalogue Of Carnage", will be released on January 25, 2008. GRANTIG's debut, "So Muss Es Sein", will follow on February 1, 2008.
